7 Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Books

Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month is a time to celebrate and recognize the contributions of these communities to the United States. Immigration from Asia began in the mid-1800s, and today people of AAPI descent make up 6% of the U.S. population, from 20 primary national and ethnic subgroups.
